My passport is a date, time and place of where I was born. A third cultural student is what they call me. American by birth. Fourth generation American on my maternal side. A first generation American on my paternal side. Lived almost half my life in the United Arab Emirates as an expat attending an American Preparatory School. However, I feel that I belong to a global tribe rather than a culturally defined one. I am closer to people who have the same experiences as I do, regardless of nationality or cultural background.
